Your first test will be coming up in about 2 weeks. You will receive a study guide and we will review in class.

1) warm-up: Define the terms physical change and chemical change. What is the difference between the two?
2) Physcial and Chemical Changes Lab (cannot be made up, if you have an excused absence, you can get the data from your lab group and answer the questions on your own).
Due Friday, 9/11
3) Homework Check - Chapter 1 packet. DO NOT turn in. This will be checked and stamped and kept in your binder in the homework and hand-outs section.
4) Homework - Atoms and Their Isotopes Packet - due Tuesday, 9/15.

Next class we will go over the Scientific Notation problems, I will take questions on any previous like scientific notation, sig figs, chapter 1 packet, density lab or anything else.

1) warm-up: What is the formula for density? Calculate the density of an object with a mass of 20 g and a volume of 5 cm^3.
